5th class menu of work 15th-19th June 2020 ✍🏼
12th June 2020
Dear Parents and children,
I hope you are all keeping well and that you and your families had a good week at home together.
It has been a great week for us in Ireland as our country has now moved into Phase 2 of reopening and some of the lockdown restrictions are starting to be lifted. The message is to stay local - either within your county, or within 20 kilometres of home and to stay safe, you need to limit where you go and limit the number of people you meet. It is lovely to see local shops and businesses opening again and I personally, am making a big effort to shop local these days to give our local businesses a much needed lift.
The really good news for my little boy (and I’m sure some of you too) is that playgrounds are now open again! We live near two great playgrounds and have been to both several times already this week; the little fella thinks he is a mini-spiderman on the giant, big-kid slides so my heart has been in my mouth to put it mildly!
Thanks to those pupils who contacted me again this week, both with work and to say hi. Two great girls emailed to check if it was ok to do the project on Mexico together. I thought it was a great idea as long as their parents agreed. I am hoping they send me some photos of their work!
I awarded a special Certificate for Engagement to two more children; Sadhbh and Dylan who are working hard and staying in touch. Well done to you both! I would like to award lots more certificates in our last few weeks of school so keep the work and emails coming! Remember you just have to do a little every day but do it well.
If you are having any difficulties with the work assigned, if you have any questions or suggestions or just want to say hi, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
God bless, stay safe and happy,
