6th Class Menu of Work 22nd-26th June

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well & that this has been a good week for you all.

So we have finally made it! It’s our last week of work and most importantly your last week as students of Rockfield National School. What a time it has been! We will never forget it, that’s for sure! I think this time has definitely made us all stronger and more resilient, and maybe we have started to look at things a little differently. The last few months have definitely taught me about the things that are important in life. One thing for sure is that each and every one of you should be so proud of yourselves and all you have achieved during this time and during your time as students of our school. Your hard work and positive attitude will stand to you as you start secondary school. You will soon begin such an exciting journey in your lives, so make sure to enjoy every moment of it. And keep doing yourselves proud. Remember one piece of advice that I have constantly repeated to you in class-Always be your own person! You have been such a kind, respectful, mature, trustworthy and responsible class, so please bring all of these wonderful characteristics with you on to secondary school.

So back to our last few activities. Please note that this week’s work is for Monday to Thursday only, as Friday will be the day of our summer holidays. The work that I have assigned in English and Gaeilge are mainly revision topics. These are important to carry out at the end of the year and are a good method of self-assessment. There was one SESE topic left to cover so I have included that. For maths we have two final chapters to finish. The first chapter can be done orally so hopefully that shouldn’t take you long. The final one is quite important so please do your best to get through as many of those activities as you can in the four days. Our final week in school will also focus on Active and Wellbeing activities. These will be available for everyone on the school blog and they will cover our PE and SPHE for our last week. Maybe you could try one of those each day?

I know it’s going to be hard to stay motivated this week but please do your best. It’s our final push. You might not get all of the activities covered in the four days and that’s ok too. As always, this is just a menu of work. Parents, please prioritise what you feel your child will benefit most from if you find that the work is taking too long. If you have any questions you can contact me at mseganrockfieldns@gmail.com.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on the blog for our last set of answers!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Just keep thinking of the well-deserved summer break that’s coming once Friday arrives!

I will be in touch next week,

Ms Egan.
