Collection of Textbooks & Belongings Mon 11 Jan 2021

The Minister has confirmed the closure of school buildings until the 1st of February at the earliest.

As we return to remote learning, we realise it will take time for you, your children and the teachers to adapt once again to the new platforms, ultimately with a view for us all to maximise the new exciting features/apps. These platforms facilitate continuous engagement during this lockdown.

In preparation for the start of remote learning next week, we are arranging for the collection of school books and resources on Monday morning. The staff will place your children's books around the school yard at a specific time similar to the arrangements during the first lockdown. As community transmission is at its highest ever since this pandemic began, we need to do this in a "very controlled manner". Each family will be allotted a time slot. The boxes/bags will be placed around the school yard in alphabetical order of surnames so you should be able to locate all your children's bags/boxes together, quickly. We ask you to continue to follow social distancing guidelines and keep 2m apart if there is another parent in the area looking for their children's bags/boxes. Please move away quickly as soon as you have collected so as to make way for the next group of parents arriving. Wearing gloves is advised to avoid hand contact with bags/boxes when searching for your child's books. Please keep to your allotted time as all remaining bags/boxes will be lifted for the next batch to be collected. We kindly ask just one adult to collect them from each household to minimise the number of people. If you do not receive a text with your allotted time, please email us at info@rockfieldns.eu immediately. The teachers will post some work on their class blog for Monday to complete after you receive your books.

From Tuesday, the teachers will transfer to the online platform with their class. Please familiarise logging on to their account on Monday. If an issue arises, email the class teacher. The teacher's email address will be put on their own class blog on Monday.

We appreciate all your co-operation during these unprecedented times. Keep safe and well.
