Menu of 1st Class Work

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and keeping safe. This is a list of suggested work and activities that can be to be completed from the 30th March – 3rd April.

· Mental Maths Week 27 including problems and Friday Review

(Answers to week 25 and 26 uploaded on 1st class blog)

· Handwriting Book p. 39-42

· Better English: Unit 28 “Little Mouse Leaves Home” p. 85-87

· Reading: The School Trip Story 2: “A Forest Adventure” p. 20- 36

· Poem: The School Trip “Remember to Forget” p. 54 (At back of reader)

· SESE\ART\ English: Go to CJ Fallon website- select All Resources, English, 1st class, My read at home Book 1- Do week 22 p. 85, 86 and 87

· English in Practice (Grammar): (Copy children had home which previously had work stuck in.) You can access a viewing copy of this book online; “English in practice 1st Class” on the Prim- Ed website. You could read out the 10 questions to the children and children could write answers in copy.

· Shared Reading: Oxford Owl – books can be chosen based on age/level.

· Gaeilge: 10@10 on rte junior, cúla4 and duolingo.

· Grow in Love: Go to www.growinlove.ie and go to login section. The email address you use is trial@growinlove.ie and password is growinlove (all lower case and all one word.

Lesson 1: Jesus in Jerusalem 1. Talk about what is happening in the Poster. 2. Look at the 4 video’s. 3. Print off a picture to colour if you have access to a printer.

Lesson 2: Jesus is Risen: 1. Look at the video’s 2. Print off the picture to colour. 3. Complete one of the Easter Art activities suggested.
