Local musican Michael Hurley comes to Rockfield on a weekly basis and teaches the tin whistle to the children from first class upwards. Rockfield Tin Whistle Band won trophies over the years in Feis Shligigh competitions.

Music Generation is a subsidised music programme to Primary Schools. Professional musicians has enhanced our music curriculum in the school. Some of the instruments introduced to the pupils are namely; guitars, keyboards, ukuleles, bodhráns, Discovering Music using voice.
