A Fond Farewell to Fr Pat

Today our school gathered together in a very special assembly to celebrate and give thanks for our wonderful parish priest, Fr Pat, as he begins his retirement.

Fr Pat has been such an important part of our school community for many years. He has always been kind, caring, and full of fun. He has been someone who could make us laugh, comfort us when we needed it, and inspire us with his gentle words and joyful spirit. His visits to our classrooms, his stories during Mass, and his warm smile will be remembered by every pupil, parent, and member of staff.

During the assembly, we filled the hall with his favourite songs, shared heartfelt blessings, and offered our good luck wishes for this next chapter of his life. It was a time of joy and gratitude, but also a little sadness, as we realised just how much we will miss him. As we say goodbye, we are also delighted to offer a very warm welcome to Fr Gerry. We look forward to getting to know him, sharing in his guidance, and continuing to grow together in faith and joy.

Thank you, Fr Pat, for everything. We wish you every happiness in your retirement, and we welcome Fr Gerry with open hearts into our school family.
