What an exciting first month it has been in our Junior and Senior Infant classroom! It’s hard to believe how quickly the weeks have flown by. Our new Junior Infants have settled in so well! They have already learned the school routines, made lots of new friends, and are arriving each morning with big smiles and eager hearts. We are so proud of them!
Our Senior Infants have been amazing role models, showing the Juniors how to line up, share, tidy up, and take turns so kindly. They’ve really set an excellent example for our newest class members and have been such great helpers around the classroom.
We’ve been busy bees in all our subjects — practising our early reading, writing, and maths skills, and doing plenty of creative art and music. We’ve also been working hard on developing our fine and gross motor skills through cutting, threading, building, and plenty of fun movement activities.
Each day has been full of energy and laughter with lots of exciting activities! We’ve started orienteering with Zara and football with Pat, which everyone absolutely loves. Even though the weather hasn’t been the best and we’ve had our fair share of rainy days, we’ve made the most of our indoor playtime; keeping active and having fun in the hall.
One of the highlights of our month was getting to visit our principal and secretary in their offices. We thought that was very special and it made our day!
We’re already looking forward to everything the next month will bring. There’s so much excitement building for Halloween. We can’t wait for the dressing up, the decorations, and all the spooky fun ahead!
Here’s to another fantastic month of learning, laughter, and adventure in our Infant classroom!
