Police 👮 Action in Junior Infants

Last Thursday as the snow fell outside, Junior Infants were visited by Garda Alison and Garda Derek. We learnt about the vehicles the gardai use, the role of the Garda dog. We were so lucky to directly learn about the role of the Gardaí in our community, how they protect us all from harm and keep us safe. We got to try on Garda Derek’s vest, hi-vis jacket and even the handcuffs he uses during arrests. We also looked at his belt, baton, pepper spray, walkie-talkie and torch. We also all got our finger prints taken and got to keep these! It was such a fun morning; thank you so much to Garda Alison and Garda Derek for coming to visit us. We really enjoyed and appreciated it.
