4th class carried out two experiments to investigate how materials can be changed by mixing.

The children discovered that mixing baking soda and vinegar caused a chemical reaction. The reaction created carbon dioxide gas. The carbon dioxide spread out and filled the bottle, then the extra gas moved up into the balloon and inflated it.

Water balloon air pressure was the second experiment. The children were amazed to see that the air pressure outside the jar exerted force on the balloon, pushing air into the jar.
