What do you get when you mix a splash of summer, a sprinkle of nostalgia, a chorus of young voices, and a room full of proud smiles? Our end-of-year assembly, of course!
The hall was buzzing with energy as the whole school gathered for our very special summer-themed celebration, and it did not disappoint. The Student Council played a pivotal role in the organisation of the gathering and lead the celebration. From the moment the first note was sung, we knew we were in for a treat. There was something for everyone – upbeat musical numbers, heartfelt poetry, dazzling project presentations, and singing that could lift the roof (in the best way possible!).
The summer vibes were strong: colourful displays, cheery songs, and the unmistakable scent of excitement in the air as the holidays loomed on the horizon. But while most were looking forward, our 6th Class pupils took a beautiful pause to look back.
Their section of the assembly carried a distinctly nostalgic note – and yes, a few tears were quietly shed!
And then came the moment that had everyone on the edge of their seats: the 6th Class Awards presented throughout assembly, presented between the various acts. What made it all the more touching was that these awards weren’t mainly chosen by teachers or staff, but by the pupils themselves. There was something truly special about hearing classmates cheer each other on, knowing the recognition came from those who’ve walked every school day beside them. The smiles of the winners lit up the room – and added an extra sparkle to an already shining celebration.
As we wave off our 6th Class, there is a mix of joy and just a touch of sadness – the perfect balance for a send-off that is full of heart. With summer ahead and new adventures awaiting, we couldn’t have asked for a more fitting finale to a fantastic year.
Here’s to sunshine, songs, and unforgettable memories. ☀️🎤📚
